According to data from Realtor.com in Okaloosa County, compared to last year July this year the median sales price for a single-family home increased 11.5% at $320,000.
The number of homes sold dropped by 1.8% from a year ago.
County-wide during the month of July, only a total of 484 houses were sold, which was 493 single-family homes a year back.
Condominiums and townhomes sold around that period had a median sales price of $280,000, which is the same as in 2020.
During July the median sales price for a single-family home in Walton County was $530,000.
That’s an increase of 27.7% since a year earlier.
Compared to 2020 the number of houses sold dropped by 18.4%.
In 2020 478 single-family homes were sold this July the total is 390 houses sold county-wide.
The top 10% of the properties sold in Okaloosa County, had prices of at least $635,000, which is 3.2% more than last year.
In July, a total of 18 properties sold for $1 million and more.
In Walton County, the top 10% of the properties sold had prices of at least $1.725 million, again more by 35.3% compared to 2020.
In July, a total of 132 properties sold for $1 million and more.
In this report, instead of the average home sale price, the median home sale price is used as experts find the median offers to be a more accurate view of the market condition.
